Documents necessary for people attending Camps and Tours
There are some documents that you will need to fill out before you or your child attend the camp. If you are not familiar with the english language, you should seek a full and detailed translation of the legal agreements and waivers before signing them.
The required forms, memberships, books and documents for each activity are listed in the columns below. Detail is then given with links that will make them easier to find.

2. You will have to join Horse Council of B.C. this gives you essential insurance for any situations where you or your child may cause damage to others or be injured yourself .

3. Visitor's or Travel Health and Medical Insurance, our suggested carrier is Blue Cross. Coverage costs can vary depending upon the length of your stay. You should have travel insurance whether you are attending the Summer Camps or the Spruce Meadows Tournament Tour in September. We will ask for your proof of coverage before finalizing your registration. Visitor's insurance ranges from $30+ for one week to $600 or more for 6 months, it will depend on a variety of factors. Please purchase a minimum of $100,000 in coverage.
4. Join the British Grooms Association. To attend our Groom School Camp and obtain certification for your levels achieved, you will need to become a member of the British Grooms Association. This is a top internationally respected organization that gives you easy access to worldwide jobs in the Equine Industry. You will register for the "Rest of the World BGA Membership" which is the designation for all non-residents of the U.K. This membership costs 27.50 British pounds per year When you join you will need to order the Equine Skills CV, which lists the qualification criteria for each of the Groom Levels and contains the . Each workbook for the levels costs 25 British Pounds, we suggest that you order the books for your present schooling level and at least the level above so that you can progress and be certified for your achievments at your own pace. You order the books when you are completing your membership application.
5. Apply for a Visa to enter Canada in order to attend the Working Student Education Program, the Camp or the Tour, if it is a requirement for people from your country of Origin. Because none of the Camps are for a duration longer than 6 months most attendees will not need more than a Visitor's Visa. If you intend on staying longer for the Working Student Program or other reasons, please ensure that you apply in advance for the appropriate length of your intended stay and for the properly stated purpose. Study Permits are required for educational stays longer than 6 months.
The following wait times listed for various countries are only approximate and it may take longer. It may take as long as two months, so please apply as soon as possible.
6. BARN RULES These are the basic safety rules and management requirements for all participants in the school. The form must be signed in order to partake in the Camps.
